First fire of 2026 was on Saturday, June 20th. Started around 7pm and ended in time for the Dodger game at 10pm. Enjoyed a couple beers, listened to a Fantastic Voyage song bank from the 70s. The lake and river are pretty high. The winds of the past few weeks wreaked havoc on the shorelines and docks. I was lucky to get a calm and pretty clear night to see some stars and hear a more tranquil water.
This is my new coozie for Chaumont Bay. Picked it up on Clayton on a rare real day off for both Beth and I. We ate at The Hops Spot; shared a Hangover Helper poutine. Looking forward to going back to that place as their food and beer menu was perfect for a day on the St. Lawrence.
We also watched a dog jumping contest in Clayton. Dogs doing any kind of tricks are up my alley.
